SunWise with SHADE Poster Contest 2010

Congratulations to our 2010 SunWise with SHADE National Poster Contest Winner, Kayla from Vermont!

2010 Poster Winner

Our 5th grade winner has the message exactly right!  You can enjoy being outdoors in the sun and still be safe.  Thank you to everyone who participated this year and to those of you who voted.  We know through the voting portion of this contest that at least 119,000 viewers saw sun safety messages!

Wow! Congratulations to all who submitted posters this year.  We received over 11,000 posters from 38 states and they were great!  It was a difficult job this year for the judges on April 13th in Washington DC to pick the state winners.

Register

Register here and you will get an entry form already filled out with your information that you can simply print off for each student. You will also receive occasional reminders and updates about the poster contest. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the SunWise program and request a free SunWise toolkit.

The criteria for poster judging will be based on how well the poster expresses the sun safety messages in an original, creative and thoughtful manner. Crayons, markers and paints make more colorful posters than do pens and pencils. Posters should illustrate the messages rather than write them. Judging will take place in Washington DC on April 13, 2010. State winners will be announced on April 16, 2010.
